Margaret Witzsche, Painting

Wild city

Painted in response to a call from the Seymour Art Gallery in North Vancouver for work on the Wild city.  The paintings were later shown at the Seymour Art Festival in 2009.  The coyote represents that which lives wild in the city and survives, though barely.  The paintings contain collaged xeroxes from buildings and streets in the Vancouver Downtown East Side along with painted images.
